A taste of India

Hi all

Well I cannot believe that we are in October already it's scary.
Well today I fancied doing a bit of messy crafting which I haven't done for a while.

Ingredients:

Crafter's companion Kraft card
Taste of India Indian Lattice embossing folder.
Neenah desert storm card
Taste of India tiger tiger stamp set

I used the A4 embossing folder and distressed the edges using Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink.
I stamped the Tiger onto the Neenah desert storm card and coloured the image with my spectrum noir pens, I used CT1, CT2, Or1 and Or2 then EB2, EB3 and EB5.
I used a thin double sided tape and then put on some glitter around the edges.
I used the ribbon and gems from my stash.
I stamped the sentiment with Stalin ink pad onto the bengals desert storm card, then used my Die'sire die tag to cut it out then I used the distress ink to tie it in with the card.

Sympathy card

Well today I made a sympathy card for a family friend who lost her husband last week.
He was a lovely man whom loved rallying so much.
For the last few days I sat at my desk thinking but couldn't muster a card up. And today I am seeing her for the first time since his death and had to make this card.
I used centura pearl card and the decoupage sheet was a CUP sheet that I purchased a while ago. I printed the decoupage onto centura pearl card stock.
I hope I have done it justice.
Also the verse which also came from CUP says.

Take some time in the silence
If you're feeling low.
To think upon their memories,
To bask within their glow.
I know its not easy,
To let a loved one go.
Your heart will continue grieving,
Because you loved them so.
But eventually it will get better,
I promise this for you.
And may the joy of being reunited one day,
Always help you through.

I just hope that she will take comfort that I will be there for her xx
